Ulcerative Colitis Gone! (she thought it was too good to be true)
"I was diagnosed in 2009 with ulcerative colitis. I was hospitalized several times. I was stuck inside a lot. The problem with ulcerative colitis is that you need to have a bathroom available almost all the time. So getting anywhere on time didn't happen.
I was at the disposal of having to go to the bathroom or having the pain to go to the bathroom. Road trips can't happen. I wasn't able to do a road trip. They said, well we could put you on another medication and another medication and another medication and you're going to have to learn how to deal with this. And this is a lifelong diagnosis. I was in tears. I really didn't want to go on more medication.
The first time I saw Kevin's book was when I was scrolling through Facebook.
I was intrigued. It taught you lots of basics. So I started doing that. I started to feel better. And to not be on medication anymore was a miracle, it seemed. But it also seemed too good to be true.
But I gave it a whirl. So a few weeks ago I had a colonoscopy and it came back as inactive colitis. I feel wonderful. My doctor told me not to change a thing. It completely changed my lifestyle. And it is the best I've felt in years."
