Lifetime Chronic Coughing Gone

Eric’s chronic cough began when he was just a child and followed him for decades.

“I kept a chronic cough like my whole life.”

It was so constant that it became part of his identity.

“All my friends would tease me… because I was always coughing.”

Then, one day, his son noticed something strange.

“I went and saw my son just two weeks ago, and he goes, ‘Dad, you're not coughing.’”

    That’s when it hit him.

    “I was like, I'm not.”

The cough that defined most of his life had vanished.

    “Disappeared.”

After more than 40 years, the silence felt surreal.

“I've literally had it since I was like 11 or 12.”

Even now, the realization still surprises him.

    “I was really, really surprised.”
