Connecticut Film TV Conference 2024
🎙️ From Airwaves to Healing Waves: Dr. Kevin Reese’s Mission to Transform Families Through Media and Medicine
At the 2024 Connecticut Film & TV Conference, Dr. Kevin Reese sat down with interviewer Frances Cordova to share a story that few expected: a complete career transformation from radio personality to holistic healer and visionary children's content creator.
“I started on the radio at 18,” Dr. Reese explained. “Sixteen years in the industry, and then I walked away. Not because I didn’t love broadcasting, but because I had to heal myself. And once I did, I couldn’t look back.”
That healing journey birthed what is now known as head-to-toe healing—Dr. Reese’s revolutionary approach to addressing the real root causes of chronic illness. It’s a method that has helped hundreds break free from the traps of symptom-chasing and conventional medicine.
But Dr. Reese didn’t stop at healing adults. His latest endeavor is Sunlight Sunny and Friends, a children’s book and animated show designed to inspire healthier habits in kids—and their parents.
“We want to change the world. And what better way than through characters and songs that make kids laugh, dance, and learn?”
The project has been in motion since 2016, beginning with a single book and growing into what Dr. Reese calls a potential empire. With original songs, colorful animation, and educational themes, Sunlight Sunny is more than entertainment—it’s a tool to combat the modern food crisis, one household at a time.
And he's doing it all by leveraging global talent through platforms like Fiverr and Upwork. From producers in Europe to illustrators in Indonesia, Dr. Reese has built a worldwide creative team to bring his vision to life.
“Social media is the new TV,” he emphasized. “If you’ve got a message, you don’t need a studio. You need passion, purpose, and persistence.”
Whether it’s pioneering head-to-toe healing or reimagining children’s media, Dr. Reese’s message remains clear: don’t give up.
“If I gave up, I wouldn’t be where I am now,” he shared. “You can’t be stopped if you don’t stop.”
